At City Church, we believe that a small group is a family of people who are related to Jesus.  But what does that mean ?  How do you get related to Jesus ?

Jesus says there is only one way to become related to Him - by being born again, trading in your old life and letting Him give you a new beginning.  It's a pretty good deal - you get a new heart and a new spirit, a new identity as a forgiven, loved, accepted child of God - but the kicker is, you do have to be willing to surrender control of your life to Him.  To find out more, read what the Bible says about all this.  It's pretty amazing !

What's that got to do with small groups ?  Lots - everything, in fact.  We want our groups to be families with Jesus at the centre.  It all begins and ends with Him.
